What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is digital money and a peer-to-peer payment network. It works without a central authority or middleman.
Behind the scenes, the Bitcoin network shares a public ledger called the blockchain. That ledger contains transactions processed on the network. Nobody owns the Bitcoin network.
