Crypto.com: February 2022 Updates

In February, Crypto.com made two major statements: the rebranding of the Crypto.org Coin to Cronos and the launch of ‘The Moment of Truth’ ad campaign featuring LeBron James.

In February, Crypto.com made two major statements: the rebranding of the Crypto.org Coin to Cronos and the launch of ‘The Moment of Truth’ ad campaign featuring LeBron James. 

Reflecting the decentralisation and tremendous growth of the Cronos ecosystem, our utility token will usher in the next major phase in the adoption and utilisation of Web3 by hundreds of millions of users.

Meanwhile, in our first Super Bowl ad, Crypto.com and NBA great LeBron James joined forces to inspire the next generation to “call your own shots” and build the web of the future, building upon our landmark partnership with James from last month.

We were also honoured to partner with Miami Garden, Fla. South Florida Motorsports as title partner of the newest Formula 1® event: the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix.

We continued building and enhancing our product suite, starting with the launch of the Crypto.com Exchange Market Maker Programme, to offer the best bespoke privileges. Meanwhile, Crypto.com NFT has started supporting NFTs minted and hosted on the Ethereum blockchain, opening up more opportunities for the platform’s users. 

Beyond these expansions, we also introduced measures that make the Crypto.com experience more secure for users. We launched the Account Protection Programme (APP) in Australia, providing relief to users who are affected by unauthorised transactions. 

Also this month, Crypto.com was awarded the renowned ISO 22301 certification for Business Continuity Management (BCM), becoming one of the first cryptocurrency companies to achieve this standard. 

Finally, we donated USD 1,000,000 to the Red Cross in support of humanitarian efforts to aid civilians affected by the recent conflict in Ukraine.

Crypto.com Donates to the Red Cross


Crypto.com has made a USD 1,000,000 donation to the Red Cross in support of the people of Ukraine, especially the civilians affected by the ongoing conflict. We urge our community to do what they can to support humanitarian efforts.

Crypto.com Becomes an Official Title Partner of the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix

We have partnered with Miami Garden, Fla. South Florida Motorsports on a new deal that makes us an integral part of the newest Formula 1® event: the Miami Grand Prix. Crypto.com DeFi Wallet Now Supports NFTs on the Cronos Chain

Crypto.com DeFi Wallet now supports NFTs minted on the Cronos Chain. Currently, NFTs minted on the Ethereum blockchain and Crypto.org Chain are also supported (requires DeFi Wallet V1.27.0 or above) in multiple file types, including SVG (newly added), JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MP3, and WAV. Crypto.com Exchange Lending Supports New Collaterals

Crypto.com Exchange users can now borrow against their crypto with a loan-to-value (LTV) ratio of up to 50% by depositing SAND, FTM, DYDX, KSM, and AVAX as collateral. More details here.

New Perpetual Contracts Are Now Available in the Crypto.com Exchange

The SRMUSD, NUUSD, SKLUSD, BANDUSD, RAYUSD, and QTUMUSD Perpetual Contracts are now available in the Crypto.com Exchange. Traders can use USDT, USDC, and DAI as collateral, access leverage of up to 100x, and enjoy discounted trading fees based on the amount of CRO they stake in the Exchange. 

New Leveraged Pairs Added to Margin Trading on the Crypto.com Exchange

Margin Trading now supports new leveraged pairs, namely ANY/USDT, JASMY/USDT, MOVR/USDT, RADAR/USDT, KNC/USDT, VTHO/USDT, CVX/USDT, ALGO/BTC, LUNA/BTC, and ICP/BTC. Margin Trading allows users to amplify their profits through borrowed funds during both up and down market movements, and access up to 10x leverage for supported trading pairs. More details here.
