What are VeChain and VET?
VeChain Token (VET) is the native asset of the VeChainThor blockchain. On that network, VET acts as a value-transfer medium and helps users access features and services.
VeChainThor also uses a second token, VeThor Token (VTHO). In simple terms, VET is used for value transfer, while VTHO represents the cost of using VeChainThor blockchain resources, including transaction costs.
How do you buy VeChain in the US?
In the Crypto.com App, the basic flow is:
- Create an account and complete any required verification.
- Add funds to your account.
- Tap 'Buy', search for VeChain, enter the amount in US dollars (USD) and confirm the purchase.
Trading is subject to account verification and eligibility.
What payment methods can you use to buy VeChain?
US users can fund an account by bank transfer, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or by transferring crypto to a wallet.
For US-based users, the US dollar (USD) is the primary fiat currency accepted. You can deposit USD by ACH or wire transfer to your Fiat Wallet to buy VeChain without paying foreign exchange fees. Other transaction fees and spread may apply.
Can you buy less than one VeChain?
You don't need to buy a whole VET. Cryptocurrencies are highly divisible, and US investors can purchase fractional amounts of VeChain for as little as US$1.
Before confirming, check the asset name, dollar amount and payment method.
