What are Uniswap and UNI?
Uniswap is a decentralized exchange protocol built on Ethereum. Instead of an order book, it uses an automated market maker (AMM) – smart contracts that let users swap tokens, provide liquidity or create markets directly on a blockchain.
UNI is the governance token of the Uniswap Protocol. UNI holders can vote on proposals about how the protocol operates.
How to buy Uniswap in the US
In the Crypto.com App, the basic buying flow is:
- Create your account in the Crypto.com App.
- Deposit funds to your account.
- Tap 'Buy', search for Uniswap and choose it.
- Enter the amount, select your payment method, review the order details and confirm when ready.
How much do you need to buy UNI?
You don't need to buy a whole token. US users can buy fractional amounts of Uniswap, with a minimum One-Time order amount equivalent to US$1 in the App.
Weekly limits apply to One-Time orders and depend on your account status. These limits are shared across Limit Order and Recurring Buy trading volumes.
What payment methods can you use to buy Uniswap?
For buying Uniswap in the US, supported funding options include bank transfer, credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or transferred crypto. Payment availability may vary by jurisdiction.
If you deposit US dollars (USD) directly by Local Bank Transfer, you can avoid foreign exchange fees when buying Uniswap.
