What are The Graph and GRT?
The Graph is a decentralized protocol for accessing blockchain data. It indexes blockchain data in a way its docs compare to how Google indexes the web, so apps can retrieve data from subgraphs instead of building every data index themselves.
GRT is The Graph Network’s utility token. It helps coordinate and incentivize data providers and consumers in the network. Developers who query subgraphs pay query fees in GRT, which are distributed to network participants.
How to buy GRT in the US
In the Crypto.com App, you can buy The Graph (GRT) using this basic flow:
- Create an account and complete the required verification.
- Add funds or choose an available payment method.
- Tap 'Buy' and search for The Graph.
- Enter the amount you want to buy.
- Review the order details and confirm when you’re ready.
Trading is subject to account verification and eligibility.
How can you pay for GRT?
US-based users can buy The Graph with US dollars (USD). The page supports funding or paying by bank transfer, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and it also lists crypto transfers to your wallet as a funding route.
You can buy a fractional amount of The Graph, so you don’t need to buy a whole token. The minimum mentioned for US investors is US$1.
What should you check before confirming a GRT order?
For a One-Time Buy order in the Crypto.com App, the order uses the current market price and is executed immediately after confirmation. The conversion rate is valid for 15 seconds; if you don’t confirm in that window, the rate refreshes.
Before confirming, check the asset, amount, payment method and order details. Once a One-Time order has been placed, it can’t be canceled.
