What are Flare and FLR?
Flare is a layer 1 blockchain focused on interoperability, which means helping different blockchains communicate. It is designed to bring smart contract capabilities to assets such as XRP.
FLR is the native token of the Flare network. It is used for network transaction fees, governance and incentives around the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), a system that supplies off-chain data for network use. FLR holders can also delegate tokens to FTSO data providers rather than running nodes themselves.
