What are Jito and JTO?
Jito is a Solana-based protocol that includes a liquid stake pool. In plain terms, it enables users to stake SOL with validators and receive JitoSOL, a liquid token that represents that position.
JTO is the governance token of the Jito Network. Token holders can take part in the Jito DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that oversees decisions such as protocol upgrades, parameter changes and treasury management. JTO and JitoSOL serve different roles: JTO is for governance, while JitoSOL represents SOL deposited through the protocol.
How to buy Jito in the US
In the Crypto.com App, the basic Jito purchase flow is:
- Create an account and complete identity verification.
- Deposit funds using an available funding method.
- Select JITO.
- Enter the amount you want to buy.
- Review the order details and confirm when you’re ready.
One-Time orders use the current market price. The conversion rate is valid for 15 seconds; if you don’t confirm within that time, the rate refreshes.
Trading is subject to account verification and eligibility.
Can you buy less than one Jito token?
Yes. Crypto assets are divisible, so you don’t need to buy a whole token.
For One-Time orders in the App, the minimum buy or sell amount is the equivalent of US$1. Limits can still apply. One-Time order limits depend on your account status and weekly limits are shared across Limit Order and Recurring Buy trading volumes.
Which payment methods can you use for Jito?
For US users, you can fund a Jito purchase with US dollars (USD) via bank transfer, credit/debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can also use supported crypto already in your Token Wallet or funds in your Cash Account when those options are available.
Payment availability may vary by jurisdiction. If you deposit USD directly via Local Bank Transfer, you can buy JITO without foreign exchange fees. Review the order details before confirming.
