What are Convex Finance and CVX?
Convex Finance is a protocol that boosts rewards for Curve liquidity providers and veCRV, veFXS and veFXN holders.
CVX is the native platform token for Convex Finance. One specific use is vote-locking: Vote-locked CVX is used to vote on how Convex allocates its veCRV and veFXS toward gauge-weight votes and other proposals. Vote-locking requires locking CVX for 16 or more weeks.
How to buy Convex Finance (CVX) in the US
In the Crypto.com App, the basic flow is:
- Create an account and confirm your email.
- Deposit funds using an available method.
- Select Convex Finance, enter the amount and confirm your purchase.
Trading is subject to account verification and eligibility.
Can you buy less than one CVX?
Yes. Cryptocurrencies are highly divisible, so US users aren’t required to buy a whole CVX. In this US purchase flow, fractional Convex Finance purchases can be as little as US$1.
What payment methods can you use to buy CVX?
For US-based users, the US dollar (USD) is the primary fiat currency accepted on the platform. You can deposit USD into your Fiat Wallet by ACH or wire transfer without paying foreign exchange (FX) fees. You can also use supported options such as a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or transfer crypto to your wallet before buying.
Payment method availability may vary by jurisdiction. Review the order details before you confirm. For One-Time orders in the App, the conversion rate is valid for 15 seconds and refreshes if you don’t confirm in that window.
