What is BNB?
BNB is the native coin of the BNB Chain ecosystem. It’s used to pay transaction fees when interacting with BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and opBNB. BNB also acts as a governance token for BNB Chain.
BSC is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible layer-1 chain. In simple terms, that means it supports Ethereum tooling for blockchain apps.
How can you buy BNB in the US?
To buy BNB in the US in the Crypto.com App (the App):
- Create an account and complete identity verification.
- Deposit funds to your account.
- Tap 'Buy', search for BNB, enter the amount you want to spend and tap 'Confirm'.
Review the order details before confirming, including the amount of BNB and any costs shown in the App.
Can you buy less than one BNB?
Yes. You don’t need to buy a whole BNB. In the US, fractional amounts of BNB can be purchased for as little as US$1.
This can make the purchase amount easier to control, since you choose the dollar amount rather than having to match the price of one full coin.
How can US users pay for BNB?
For US-based users, US dollar (USD) is the primary fiat currency accepted. Funding options include bank transfer, credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or transferring crypto to your wallet.
Depositing USD directly via Local Bank Transfer lets you avoid foreign exchange fees when buying BNB with USD. Other transaction fees and spread may apply.
