Crypto.com partners with A Story and AIMC to release the ‘Extraordinary Whales Club’ social NFT

January 12, 2023, South Korea — Crypto.com, a global cryptocurrency platform, announced the release of ‘Extraordinary Whales Club’ in partnership with the global content studio A Story and its IP business subsidiary AIMC. 

‘Extraordinary Whales Club’ is an ESG and community project aiming to improve awareness and support people around the world with autism. The project utilizes NFT technology themed in the form of whales, which appear as a symbol in the Korean drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’. On January 20th, these NFTs will be made available for purchase on Crypto.com’s Marketplace, as part of the MOU signed with A Story and AIMC last October.

Crypto.com, A Story, and AIMC also hosted the ‘Extraordinary Whales Club’ auction event on January 11 in Seoul, to showcase 7 artworks developed and produced by Korea’s top illustrators Chul-min Lee and Byung-rok Chae. The pieces were auctioned, with part of the proceeds to be donated to WWF Korea and Autism Korea.

Actor Hyun-young Joo, who starred as Dong Geurami in ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo,’ also attended the event and shared her thoughts on the new project.  “I am very happy to attend such a meaningful event due to the connection of the drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo” she said. “Starting with this Extraordinary Whales Club charity NFT project, I hope more social activities will expand further in the future.”
