Singapore, September 28, 2022 – Crypto.com, the world’s fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform, today announced that it has been awarded the Cyber Trust mark certification by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), the national agency overseeing cybersecurity strategy, operations, education, outreach, and ecosystem development.
The CSA has recognized Crypto.com as operating at the highest maturity level – “Tier 5 – Advocate” – as part of the Cyber Trust mark assessment. The Cyber Trust mark, established by the CSA earlier this year, is a certification for enterprises with more extensive digitized business operations. The Cyber Trust mark serves as a distinction for enterprises to prove that they have put in place good cybersecurity practices and measures that are commensurate with their cybersecurity risk profile.
The Cyber Trust mark analyzes twenty-two distinct criteria areas to provide a certification level ranging from Tier 1 through Tier 5, with Tier 5 being the highest certification. Crypto.com was assessed against the strictest criteria under this framework and adhered to 190 different security controls to reach the highest level of “Tier 5 – Advocate”, as audited by BSI in Singapore, an internationally-recognized certification authority which is officially appointed by CSA as the listed Certification Body.
This most recent Singapore-based certification also follows Crypto.com being the first fintech company to achieve Singapore’s Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) – with the combination of both certifications being a notable distinction in Singapore. Crypto.com has obtained a wide range of other security and privacy compliance certifications, including being the first virtual asset exchange company in the world to be certified with ISO/IEC 27701:2019, ISO27001:2013, ISO22301:2019, PCI:DSS 3.2.1, Level 1 compliance, Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2, NIST CSF (Tier 4) and PF (Tier 4).

Crypto.com has also recently received in-principle approval for a Major Payment Institution License from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), registration approval as a cryptoasset business from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), provisional approval of its Virtual Asset License from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), Electronic Financial Transaction Act and Virtual Asset Service Provider registration from the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (KoFIU) in South Korea, registration in Italy from the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM), registration in Greece from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), registration in Cyprus from the Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), regulatory approval from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), and a pre-registration undertaking with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) in Canada.
