The Inferno project is an exploration of wild land fire fighting in the Pacific Northwest of the United States using drones created to mimic the appearance of local wildlife. Each animal drone and their operators fill a specific role in the field. For examples: Condor teams provide aerial support by executing guided water drops along the fire line. By combining their skills and talents, these teams can quickly and effectively combat wildfires. In the past decades, climate change and human activity have increased the prevalence of wildfires in the US and around the world. This project is my way of educating myself, and others, on the growing risks and dangers of wildfires. Millions of acres are lost per year and many firefighters fall in the line of duty protecting local communities. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the Inferno drop will be donated to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation to assist fire fighters and the families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.
