Toledo's art is characterized by the amount of detail and an aesthetic universe that feeds from the traditional fantasy and sci-fi of the 70's and has a distinct influence from the traditional art of many parts of the world. During his travels the artist is inspired and learns from everything he sees, that is why we can find Amazons reminiscent of Mongolian shamans, Japanese Samurais or Latin American masks. These Amazons are beings of power and strength, warriors trained for physical and dreamlike fighting. Through their unique powers they can both heal and destroy, they are neither evil nor kind, they are complicated like all humans.
