The term synchronicity was coined in the 1950s by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, to describe uncanny coincidences that seem to be meaningful. The Greek roots are syn-, "together," and khronos, "time." Synchronicity is an event that happens without explanation or cause and awakens a deeply meaningful sense in one's perception. It happens between one's inside experience and the world outside. It's a metaphysical event in which our personality finds meaning in the experience that is material and physical.
