[LIVE] Dirty Sockers: Lucky Edition

Dirty Sockers is a community-first, maximum-value CROFam project. Created by Saad Minhas and Fawaz Kouchak, ‘Dirty Sockers’ is a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs with a variety of traits, made by designers with many years of experience in advertising. The OG drop sold out within minutes on 10 January. On 5 May, the first 1,000 ‘Dirty Sockers’ were dropped, selling out that weekend. Now, it’s time for ‘Lucky Sockers’ to join in – a collection of 4,500 collectibles. The collection offers real utility – the Dirty Cash Club for passive income, cashback, merchandise giveaways, events, and much more.

[UPCOMING] Blvck x PSG

Luxury lifestyle brand Blvck Paris and football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have collaborated on a limited set of ‘Blvck x PSG’ NFTs in mystery boxes. The collection includes Rare, Exclusive, and General NFTs, with redeemable physical goodies for lucky holders. NFT holders get early access to Blvck x PSG products, discounts, giveaways, and Blvck Ecosystem membership.

The reveal of the mystery box contents will happen shortly after the drop ends, and holders of ‘Exclusive’ and ’Premium’ boxes can claim their physical goodies one week later.

Loaded Lions: Mane City launched its first-ever Competitive Mode season called “Rise of the Golden City”. Players have the opportunity to win a share of the prize pool, which currently exceeds US$174,000, as well as ‘Elite Tool’ NFTs worth over US$26,000. Additionally, exclusive trophy NFTs are available as rewards during the season.

News Highlights

• Ubisoft, a leading AAA gaming studio, partnered with Immutable, a blockchain game firm, to develop Web3 games. The collaboration aims to combine mainstream gaming development quality with Web3 functionality. Ubisoft’s Strategic Innovation Lab and Immutable will work together to integrate decentralised features into video games, allowing players to experience the benefits of Web3 and digital ownership.
• In the latest episode of The Simpsons titled “Wild Barts Can’t Be Token,” which aired last Sunday in the US, the show parodied the world of blockchain and NFTs. The episode referenced popular NFTs and artists such as ‘Bored Ape Yacht Club’ and Beeple.
• ‘Bored Ape Yacht Club’ creator Yuga Labs is collaborating with Magic Eden to launch a new Ethereum NFT marketplace that enforces royalties. Magic Eden, a multi-chain NFT marketplace, has committed to paying Yuga Labs its share of secondary market sales of its NFT collections. The marketplace will use new smart contracts to ensure that royalties are paid out during secondary market sales.
• Illuvium, an interoperable blockchain game developed by Illuvium Labs, is set to go mainstream with a listing on the Epic Games Store. The game will offer an “ultimate Arena PVP experience” and early access to players. It will also be compatible with Epic’s extensive user base, which includes over 180 million users.
• Football club AC Milan partnered with Crossmint, an on-chain financial company focused on NFTs, to tokenise its iconic stadium, San Siro. Through fractionalised NFTs, fans can purchase plots of land within the stadium. When significant events happen on their plot during home matches, fans will receive rewards such as signed football shirts, VIP experiences, and free match tickets. 
• The iconic “Gucci Cosmos” exhibition, traditionally held at The Strand in London, has made its way into the virtual world of The Sandbox. The exhibition, curated by Maria Luisa Frisa and visualised by artist Es Devlin, is now accessible as “Gucci Cosmos Land” within The Sandbox for a limited time. Users can explore the virtual exhibition and admire Gucci’s legacy, which spans over 100 years.
