Crypto.com: March 2022 Updates 

In March, Crypto.com introduced several partnerships with leading organisations from around the world, including the FIFA World Cup and The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (ICRC), to further advance crypto into the mainstream.

We are now an Official Sponsor of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. As the first cryptocurrency trading platform sponsor of the world’s most watched sporting event, Crypto.com will drive significant awareness for crypto and accelerate its adoption.

Crypto.com also partnered with the ICRC, one of the world’s biggest charity organisations, to launch a global campaign that raises awareness and funds to support their vitally important work, including a relief programme for Ukraine. To introduce this campaign, we aired ads during the recent Oscars broadcast in the U.S., which called on viewers to donate through crypto, fiat, or the purchase of an NFT from the campaign collection. Thanks to this campaign, we have raised more than US$1 million for the ICRC.

Meanwhile, Cronos reached a new milestone this month, surpassing US$3 billion in total value locked (TVL) less than five months after the launch of this fast-growing blockchain. Contributing to this significant growth is MM Finance, which joined VVS Finance in the ranks of Cronos projects that reached US$1 billion in TVL. We look forward to further growth in this ecosystem and more billion-dollar successes among the projects joining Cronos.

This month, Crypto.com also established links with the VerifyCASP Alliance to bolster international compliance. We became a strategic level partner of Carnegie Mellon University’s CyLab to support blockchain research and a member of the Blockchain Association of Singapore. In Australia, ​​we partnered with several AFL and AFL Women’s teams to broaden engagement. In Dubai, we inked a founding partnership with Investopia and discussed how we will collaborate on meaningful projects that will accelerate the development of future economies and financial innovation.

On the product side, we launched Crypto.com NFT in the Crypto.com App. We have begun expanding the Crypto.com Exchange in the U.S., giving access to institutional users first before rolling it out progressively over the coming months. We also expanded the Account Protection Programme (APP) to Singapore and Brazil, following its launch in Australia. And the Crypto.com Tax service is now available to users in Norway and Denmark. Meanwhile, we introduced a new reward structure for Crypto Earn, added multi-tab browsing in the Crypto.com DeFi Wallet app, and airdropped an exclusive NFT collection that features LeBron James.

In partnership with The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, we launched a campaign to raise awareness and funds to support their vitally important work. Our in-house team has created a TV commercial that was aired multiple times during the live broadcast of the 94th Academy Awards in the United States, and we will also raise awareness on all of our social media platforms. Viewers will be directed to our campaign page, where they can donate in one of three ways: with crypto, fiat, or by buying an NFT from the campaign collection.
