API3 (API3) is now listed in the Crypto.com App, joining the growing list of 250+ supported cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Polkadot (DOT), Chainlink (LINK), VeChain (VET), USD Coin (USDC), and Crypto.org Coin (CRO).
The API3 project aims to allow smart contract platforms to leverage APIs for the development of meaningful applications in a truly decentralised and trust-minimised way. API3 will create a new generation of blockchain-native decentralised APIs and allow decentralised versions of APIs to be built, managed, and monetised at scale. API3, an Ethereum token that powers the APi3 project, is used to govern the API3 decentralised autonomous organisation and to vote on project upgrades. Staking the token will grant its holders full governing rights over the API3 DAO along with all the associated rewards.
