We’re excited to announce the latest update to Cronos ID: Multi-chain support in the Crypto.com DeFi Wallet! This enhancement allows you to use your unique .cro domain across multiple networks, making it easier than ever to send and receive assets.
Previously, Cronos ID could only be used within the Cronos network. However, with this new update, your .cro handle can now operate across multiple chains, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL). This means you can manage and transfer your digital assets without juggling numerous wallet addresses. This streamlines your Web3 experience and reduces the risk of errors in managing your assets.
How It Works
- Select your network: When sending assets, choose a supported network from the options available.
- Enter recipient details: Input the recipient’s .cro domain. The app will automatically detect and validate the domain for the selected network.
- Confirm and send: Review your transaction details and confirm. Your assets will be sent securely to your recipient’s .cro address!

What is Cronos ID?
Cronos ID is an identity and communication layer that enables users to assign a unique .cro username to their wallet, eliminating the need for long and complex wallet addresses. This feature is integrated into the Crypto.com DeFi Wallet, allowing for the seamless identification of wallets using Cronos ID domains. With Cronos ID, sending and receiving tokens and NFTs becomes a breeze.
How to Register a Cronos ID
Users can register a Cronos ID in four easy steps:
- Visit the Cronos Identity Homepage. Enter the desired domain name in the search bar and tap “Search”.
- After confirming that your desired domain name is available, tap “Buy Now”.
- Select the desired registration period. Check the cost of registration and estimated gas fee before tapping “Register”.
- A transaction approval pop-up request will appear. Confirm the transaction details to finalise your purchase.
