Video game giant Ubisoftannounced the 23 October release of its blockchain-based game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. The game will be hosted on the Oasys Home Verse network and feature player-versus-player (PvP) battles using ‘Champions’ NFTs. Ubisoft aims to integrate Web3 technology seamlessly into gameplay, allowing players to focus on strategy and enjoyment.
The game’s corresponding 9,999-piece NFT collection called ‘The Warlords of Champions Tactics’ also saw positive growth recently. At the time of writing, the average sale price and sales volume increased by 18% and 59% week-over-week, respectively.

Aptos Labs, in collaboration with Google Cloud, launched GameStack, a platform designed to simplify blockchain technology integration in video games. GameStack provides developers with tools to incorporate features such as NFTs, digital wallets, and decentralised marketplaces.
Ubisoft is set to launch a 10,000-piece NFT collection called ‘Niji Warrior IDs’, linked to its upcoming game, Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. This collection will be available on Magic Eden and minted on the Arbitrum network. NFT holders will gain early access to the game, which features characters from popular Ubisoft franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Rayman. The NFTs will evolve based on player progress, offering additional in-game benefits and governance participation.
The Ethereum-based NFT project 10KTF has been acquired by Possible Productions, a creative studio known for its work on major events like Coachella and the Super Bowl Halftime Show. A new company has been formed to oversee the continued development of 10KTF. Originally founded by WENEW Labs in 2021 and acquired by Yuga Labs in 2022, 10KTF will focus on expanding its brand and introducing new tools for the Web3 space.
Off The Grid, a cyberpunk-themed battle royale game, is currently the top free-to-play game in the Epic Games Store, outpacing popular titles like Fortnite and Genshin Impact. Off The Grid‘s digital economy runs on GUNZ, an Avalanche Subnet designed for the game, with the in-game GUN token used for purchases and represented as NFTs.
