Singapore, July 18, 2022 – Crypto.com, the world’s fastest growing cryptocurrency platform, has named Stephen Humenik Global Head of Derivatives Legal.
In his role, Humenik will lead Crypto.com’s Global Derivatives Legal Team. Launched in February 2021, the Crypto.com Derivatives Exchange offers traders the ability to settle in cryptocurrency, control account leverage, and enjoy other benefits that a state-of-the-art crypto trading platform offers. Crypto.com’s derivatives offerings were recently expanded by Crypto.com’s acquisitions of NADEX and the Small Exchange in March 2022.

Prior to joining Crypto.com, Humenik was a partner at global law firm K&L Gates. Humenik has more than twenty years of experience on cross-border regulatory, compliance, transactional and enforcement matters involving the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and global markets for derivatives, physical and financial commodities. Humenik has counseled a diverse range of clients, including cryptocurrency and FinTech companies, swap dealers, financial institutions, trading platforms and clearinghouses, proprietary traders, asset managers, hedge funds, commodity end-users, energy companies, corporate end-users, and trade associations. Earlier in his career, Humenik served as special counsel and policy advisor to former CFTC Commissioner Scott O’Malia and as a former enforcement attorney with the CFTC.
