Crypto.com Appoints Ryan Carney as VP, Government Affairs

September 8, 2025 – Crypto.com has appointed Ryan Carney as VP, Government Affairs, as the Company continues to further its presence and growth across North America. 

Carney has more than two decades of experience in politics, law, and government affairs. Most recently, he served as a government affairs advisor for global law firm K&L Gates. Prior to that, Carney served nine years on Capitol Hill as chief of staff to two Members of Congress and staff director to a Congressional committee. His former boss, Congressman Bryan Steil, is the Chairman of the Digital Assets Subcommittee on the House Financial Services Committee. Carney was also Deputy Finance Director at the National Republican Congressional Committee.

As VP, Government Affairs, Carney will lead Crypto.com’s efforts in support of key issues in North America, including developing strategies to help advance effective legislative and policy positions. Additionally, Carney will represent Crypto.com across various legislative and policy associations to collectively advance responsible innovation for the sector. Carney will be based in Washington, D.C.
