Crypto.com and Fanatics Collectibles Partner for World-First UEFA Champions League Activation

May 29, 2026 - Crypto.com and Fanatics Collectibles are collaborating to offer one football fan the chance to own a piece of history in a world-first sponsor activation at the UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest. 

The collaboration will see the official physical Crypto.com Match Coin from the Champions League Final embedded into a 1:1 premium, limited-edition Topps Now “Relic” Trading Card. 

Topps Now, which gives fans and collectors the chance to own the biggest sporting moments as they happen, will then pick one lucky customer at random to win the Relic Card when they order  a corresponding ‘base’ card available at Topps.com just days after the final.  

The coin will also be authenticated on the Cronos Blockchain as a digital collectible, which will unlock utility for the 2026/27 season including UEFA Super Cup Final Tickets, a League Phase Pass to all eight games of their chosen club and the opportunity to deliver the Match Coin at their chosen club’s first game of the Season.

As part of this iconic activation, and in the lead up to the Final, the Match Coin was flown into the Puskás Aréna in Budapest by a drone and unveiled by UEFA Ambassador Ashley Cole ahead of Match Day. The coin will be delivered to the Referee who will use it to kick-off proceedings in the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final. Post match, the coin will be delivered to Topps’ printers in Munich where it will be embedded into the 1:1 Relic card, ready to be claimed by one lucky collector.

This Champions League Final activation marks the culmination of a season-long Match Coin campaign by Crypto.com and an exciting new collaboration with Topps, with football fans claiming digital coin collectibles giving them the chance to win VIP experiences including handing over the official Match Coin to the referee at Champions League matches.
