Crypto.com Receives Conditional Approval for Virtual Asset Service Provider License from Cayman Islands Monetary Authority

January 5, 2026 – Crypto.com today announced that it has received conditional approval for its Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). This approval makes Crypto.com among the first digital asset firms to receive conditional authorization to operate as a VASP in the Cayman Islands, and follows Crypto.com previously securing its VASP registration from CIMA in August 2022. 

This approval will enable Crypto.com to further its product and service portfolio in the Cayman Islands, particularly through the Crypto.com Exchange – Crypto.com’s institutional-grade offering for advanced traders and institutions.
