Enhance Your Security on the Crypto.com Exchange with Passkeys

Enjoy greater security without the hassle

We’re excited to announce that Passkeys are now available on the Crypto.com Exchange!

Passkeys are secure, fast, and privacy-friendly, enabling a one-tap authentication experience. Unlike many other security protocols, they are quick and convenient to set up.

Key features of passkeys and hardware tokens 

• Stronger security: Enjoy heightened security and protection for your account against hacks, phishing attempts, and remote attacks with cryptographic keys for authentication 
• Greater convenience: Seamlessly verify yourself with your biometrics, passcode, or security key – there’s no need to switch between different applications
• Synced across devices: Your passkeys can be used across all your devices 

Follow these steps to set up your passkeys on the Crypto.com Exchange Web:

1. Go to Profile > Security > Account Password & 2FA

2. Click Add Passkey next to Passkeys
   1. If you are creating your first passkey across your accounts, click Create Passkey on the pop-up
   2. If you are creating a subsequent passkey, proceed to the next step
3. Complete verification using 2FA if it is set up. If it is not, you will be prompted to verify using email OTP.
4. Choose where to save your passkey and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the key creation

Now you can use your preferred verification method to log in.

Alternatively, you can also set up your Passkeys in the Crypto.com Exchange App by setting it up via Passkeys in the Security section of your profile. Refer to ‘How to Use the Passkey Feature in the Crypto.com Exchange App’ to learn more.
