How to use AI for crypto trading
Tell your AI assistant what to trade. It executes 24/7 within the limits you set in the Crypto.com App.
Step 1
Install Crypto.com AI trading agent skill
Paste an universal install command into your AI assistant — Claude, Cursor, OpenClaw, ChatGPT, or Windsurf, to load the trading skill.
Please read https://crypto.com/skill.md and follow the instructions inside to help me trade on Crypto.com.
Step 2
Connect your Agent Key
Your Agent Key links your AI assistant to your Crypto.com App account — you set the rules, in the App, before any trade runs.
- 1Open the Crypto.com App and tap Agent Key from the main menu
- 2Generate your Agent Key. Choose permissions — view balances only, or view and trade.
- 3Set a weekly trading limit and optional per-trade confirmation.
- 4Copy your key and paste it into Claude, Cursor, or your AI assistant.
Agent Keys cannot withdraw funds or transfer assets to external wallets. Revoke yours at any time in the App, or text ‘stop all trading’ to halt activity instantly.
Step 3
Start trading
Give instructions in plain English. Your agent executes within the rules you set.

AI crypto trading bot FAQ
An AI crypto trading bot is an AI assistant — such as Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT — connected to an exchange so it can read market data and place trades on your instructions. On Crypto.com, your assistant connects through the Crypto.com MCP Server for live market data and a scoped Agent Key for trading. You set the permissions, limits, and confirmation rules before it acts.
Install the Crypto.com trading skill by pasting the install command into your assistant, then connect your Agent Key. In the Crypto.com App, tap Agent Key > set permissions > set a weekly limit > copy your key into your assistant. Start with a read-only command, such as checking the BTC spot price, before enabling trade execution.
The Crypto.com MCP Server gives AI assistants real-time access to public market data — current prices, trading volumes, and market trends. It requires no API key and works with Claude, ChatGPT, and custom agents. It provides public data only; it cannot access your account, balances, or funds.
Yes. With a trade-enabled Agent Key, your assistant can place spot and derivatives orders within the limits you set. You control three safeguards: scoped permissions, a weekly trading limit, and optional manual confirmation before each trade. Withdrawals are never available to agents.
Four controls, all set by you in the App: scoped permissions decide what your agent can do, weekly limits cap its trading volume, manual confirmation requires your approval per trade, and the kill switch stops all activity with one tap. Agent Keys cannot withdraw funds or transfer assets to external wallets, and you can revoke a key at any time.
The trading skill and MCP Server access are free. Standard Crypto.com trading fees apply to executed orders. There are no additional charges for connecting an AI assistant.
