Crypto.com Files National Trust Bank Charter Application

October 24, 2025 – Crypto.com today announced that it has filed a National Trust Bank Charter application with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). This application is the latest step by Crypto.com in extending its commitment as the industry leader in regulatory compliance and customer protection. 

Crypto.com is pursuing a National Trust Bank Charter to advance its industry-leading custody technology and related customer offerings, including custody and staking of assets across various blockchains and digital asset protocols, including Cronos. A National Trust Bank Charter will further position Crypto.com as the custody service destination of choice, particularly for Digital Asset Treasuries, Exchange Traded Funds, and other corporate and institutional investors – all from a federally regulated service provider.
