What are Sui and SUI?
Sui is a smart contract platform. Its native token is SUI, the asset used on the Sui network for specific functions.
SUI is needed to pay gas fees for transactions and other network operations. It can also be used in Sui applications and for on-chain voting on governance matters, such as protocol upgrades.
How to trade SUI in the US
In the Crypto.com App, the basic SUI trading flow is:
- Download the Crypto.com App and complete identity verification.
- Fund your account.
- Go to the trading interface and select SUI.
- Choose your desired trading pair.
- Review and confirm the transaction to finalize the trade.
Trading is subject to account verification and eligibility.
How can you fund a SUI trade?
Before you trade, you need available funds in the App. You can deposit fiat currency like US dollars (USD) or transfer existing crypto into your account.
If you transfer crypto, check that the asset and chain are supported in the App's 'Transfer Menu' before sending. Deposits through unsupported chains cannot be credited or refunded.
What costs and risks should you check before trading SUI?
Transaction fees and spread may apply, so check the current fee schedule and spread in the App before confirming an order.
Crypto assets are inherently risky and high volatility can significantly impact the value of your holdings.
