What are Quant and QNT?
Quant is focused on blockchain interoperability: helping different blockchains and existing financial systems connect. Its Overledger technology is not a standalone blockchain. It is an application programming interface (API) gateway, which acts as a software connection point for separate systems.
QNT is the native cryptocurrency of the Quant network. It is used to pay for access to the Quant network and Overledger-related services.
How to trade Quant in the US
In the Crypto.com App, the basic flow is:
- Download the Crypto.com App and complete identity verification.
- Fund your account by depositing US dollars (USD) or transferring existing crypto.
- Go to the trading interface, select Quant and choose your trading pair.
- Review the details and confirm the transaction when you’re ready.
What should you check before confirming a Quant trade?
Before confirming, check the trading pair, order amount, conversion rate, fees and spread in the App.
For App One-Time orders, the conversion rate is valid for 15 seconds. If you don’t confirm within that time, the rate refreshes. Other transaction fees and spread may apply.
Crypto assets are inherently risky, and high volatility can significantly impact the value of your holdings.
What limits apply to Quant One-Time orders?
For One-Time orders in the App, the minimum buy or sell amount is the equivalent of US$1.
Weekly buy and sell limits depend on account status. These weekly limits are shared across Limit Order and Recurring Buy trading volumes, so consider your available limit before placing an order.
