What are Ethereum and ETH?
Ethereum is a decentralized blockchain network and software development platform, and ether (ETH) is its native cryptocurrency.
ETH is used to pay transaction fees, often called gas fees, when people use the network or applications built on it. Ethereum also supports open-source programs called smart contracts. Smart contracts can create digital assets and decentralized applications, often shortened to dapps.
How to trade Ethereum in the Crypto.com App
Trading is subject to account verification and eligibility. The basic App flow is:
- Download the Crypto.com App and complete identity verification.
- Fund your account with US dollars (USD) or transfer existing crypto.
- Go to the trading interface, select Ethereum and choose a trading pair.
- Confirm the transaction.
What should you check before confirming an ETH trade?
Other transaction fees and spread may apply, so check the App for the current fee schedule and spread before confirming a trade.
Crypto assets are inherently risky, and high volatility can significantly affect the value of your holdings. Consider your risk appetite before deciding to trade.
Can you trade Ethereum around the clock?
Once eligible to trade, crypto markets operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, unlike traditional stock markets. In the App, you can track real-time price movements and place orders when you choose to trade Ethereum.
