What are Chainlink and LINK?
Chainlink is an oracle platform. In simple terms, oracles help smart contracts connect with information or systems outside a blockchain, such as data feeds and other offchain resources. The Chainlink Network is made up of decentralized oracle networks that use the Chainlink protocol.
LINK is the native digital asset of the Chainlink Network. It is used as the standard unit of payment for Chainlink services, and node operators can receive LINK for helping facilitate those services.
How to trade Chainlink in the US
In the Crypto.com App, the basic flow is:
- Download the Crypto.com App and complete identity verification.
- Fund your account with US dollars (USD) or existing crypto.
- Go to the trading interface and select Chainlink.
- Choose an available trading pair.
- Review the details and confirm the transaction when you’re ready.

Which payment methods can you use for a Chainlink trade?
For One-Time orders in the App, supported payment options include Token Wallet, Cash Account, credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Availability varies depending on your jurisdiction, so check the payment methods shown in the App before confirming.
If you fund with existing crypto, choose a trading pair that is available for Chainlink in the App.
What limits, fees and risks should you check?
For One-Time orders in the App, the minimum buy or sell amount is the equivalent of US$1. Weekly buy and sell limits depend on account status; the listed limits range from US$30,000 for Non-Level Up Users, Level Up Basic and Level Up Plus to US$100,000 for Prime Users. These weekly limits are shared across Limit Order and Recurring Buy trading volumes.
Check the App for current fees and spread before confirming. Crypto assets are inherently risky, and high volatility can significantly impact the value of your holdings.
