DYOR

DYOR, or ‘do your own research’, is a commonly used term in the cryptocurrency industry. The primary purpose of this term is to encourage users to research and understand the project they are interested in before taking action (e.g., buying tokens).

DYOR also encourages users to screen information for accuracy when consuming content on crypto projects, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), or trading advice. Users are especially encouraged to verify information they find on social media platforms like X, Reddit, and Instagram. Other users might unknowingly share misinformation, and unregulated parties can recommend fraudulent projects on social platforms.
