The term ‘metaverse’ has seen a recent resurgence in the public consciousness, no doubt boosted by recent news that Facebook would be rebranding to ‘Meta’, to better fit their vision for the future of social connection.
In this report, we start by examining the concept of the Metaverse, followed by a recap of the Metaverse to the present day – covering some of the associated technologies with the Metaverse beyond blockchain and digital assets.
