What is Blur?

Blur is an Ethereum-based digital marketplace that stands out among other platforms in the NFT market. It is a marketplace aggregator and offers advanced analytics, excellent portfolio management capabilities, and the ability to compare NFTs on multiple marketplaces. These features make it increasingly popular among professional NFT traders.

A Brief History of Blur

Blur was launched in October 2022 and has already made significant strides to elevate the NFT trading experience. Prior to its official launch, the platform offered beta-testing access to NFT traders who referred the most users to sign up on its waiting list. It has obtained funding from numerous venture capitalists, including Paradigm. The platform's founders and developers are active only through pseudonyms, with the founder known as Pacman. How Blur Works

Blur is a marketplace aggregator that connects to X2Y2, OpenSea, and LooksRare. It operates faster NFT sweeps and snipes than other seemingly comparable marketplaces and has real-time price feeds, a sorting function based on price, a more intuitive interface, and no trading fees for NFT sales. As traders acquire NFTs, they can view their digital assets through Blur’s portfolio tab. This tab delivers information about rarity, value, profit and loss, and more.

What is BLUR Used for?

Blur’s native token is BLUR, which offers governance functionality. The platform offers a series of airdrops that provide access to these tokens in the form of Care Packages to users who were active with beta testing six months before the official Blur launch in October 2022. The second airdrop was for traders who were actively listing on the marketplace through November 2022. The third and final airdrop is allocated to traders who place bids on Blur through Feb 14, 2023. The Care Packages have four tiers of rarity — Unrevealed, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. On Feb 14, 2023, the day of the official launch of the BLUR token, users will be able to exchange their Care Packages for BLUR tokens. BLUR is used for governance and incentivizing those who pay royalties to creatives with additional BLUR tokens.
